Join Swiss Arbitration and Latham & Watkins during New York Arbitration Week for a panel discussion exploring the evolving roles of Switzerland, the United States, and the United Kingdom in investment arbitration in the post-Achmea era.

As EU-law challenges continue to reshape intra-EU investor-state arbitration, Switzerland has emerged as an important non-EU arbitral seat, while courts in the United States and the United Kingdom have played increasingly significant roles in the recognition and enforcement of investment arbitration awards.

The panel will examine recent developments in treaty interpretation, sovereign immunity, and enforcement jurisprudence, including the implications of EU-law objections to intra-EU investment arbitration. Panelists will also discuss whether these jurisdictions are becoming key anchors of the international investment arbitration system and the practical implications for investors, States, and practitioners navigating an increasingly fragmented legal landscape.

A luncheon will follow the program.
